As the festive season approaches, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible effort and achievements of our pupils this term! From stunning artwork brightening our halls to fabulous progress with reading, arithmetic and times tables, in particular. Next term, there will be exciting careers projects to spark big dreams. Our guided reading strategy is going from strength to strength, inspiring in pupils and staff alike that we hope will continue over the holidays. As we enjoy this special time of year, we’d like to remind everyone about staying safe, both out and about during the holidays and online. Thank you for your continued support, and we wish you all a joyful and restful Christmas break!

Christmas performances
Thank you so much to all families for your support with the Christmas performances. Costumes, learning lines, self-confidence: we couldn’t put on a performance without you! Please follow your child on Google Classroom to see any images.
Our attendance is becoming very good, despite a large amount of nasty illnesses. If you are unsure as to whether to bring your child to school, then please just contact us in the usual ways.
Pupils said: we did
We recently surveyed all of our pupils, from Y1 to Y6, to measure how they felt about certain aspects of the school. Please see below how we have responded to the points raised:
Pupils told us: | So we: The girls didn’t trust a number of the doors in the toilets due to the shape of the doors and the type of latches. | Changed all the doors in the girl’s toilets, including new latches. They would like to learn how we use emotion coaching and restorative practice | Conducted a whole school assembly with the children on these techniques. This is to be repeated half-termly. We have also trained our mental health ambassadors to respond appropriately.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful new year!
